Stage Technician

As Stage Technician you will be assisting in installing scenery, maintenance and operating of stage equipment and effects both outside and during performances. This is an opportunity to see and be a part of the creation of productions. The Stage Department is integrated into the wider production process from the white card: working alongside production management and the workshop team on stage effects, logistics and planning. They ensure that digital technology and sustainability are at the heart of every project.
This role requires practical stage experience, particularly with counterweight fly systems, alongside a solid understanding of technical theatre equipment, products, and industry practices. Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work both collaboratively and independently while demonstrating initiative. Practical skills in carpentry, metalwork, working at height, and interpreting scale drawings are also important. Ideally, applicants will bring additional qualifications such as IPAF and working at height certifications, rigging check experience, and familiarity with a wide range of access equipment.
Evening and weekend work will be required.

Pay: £26,810.16 per annum (Officer 1)
Hours: 2,028 hours per annum (average 39 hrs p/wk)
Holidays: 25 days per year plus bank holidays.
