Assistant Producer

The Assistant Producer will work closely with the Producers to deliver the Rep’s programme of produced and co-produced work, including community work, across our three theatre spaces, The House, The Studio and the Door. Under the direction of the Senior Producer you will be the Rep’s main point of contact for received co-productions. You will be the Producing Lead for the annual Early Years Christmas Show in The Door (alongside any subsequent regional tour), managing the budget, contracting the creative team, liaising with Production, Marketing and Operations to deliver this crucial piece of work for our youngest audiences and their families. In conjunction with the Programming Coordinator this role will lead on scheduling and delivering the Rep’s access provision, coordinating successful delivery of BSL, Captioned, Audio Described and Relaxed performances across our programme.
This role requires experience in programming or producing arts events, alongside a solid knowledge of the UK arts scene, and should demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills, the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, and strong administrative and IT capabilities. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, and robust negotiation skills. A commitment to diversity, accessibility, and community engagement is essential, with enthusiasm for working collaboratively with people from a wide range of backgrounds.

Hours: 39 hours per week
Holidays: 25 days per year plus bank holidays, rising to 30 days plus bank holidays with continuous service.
